Azure is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, a growing collection of integrated services — analytics, computing, database, mobile, networking, storage, and web — for moving faster, achieving more, and saving money.  SyncraTec offers expertise in Azure architecture components including infrastructure, tools, and portals.  Cloud solutions include:

  • Implementation and management of virtual networking within Azure and connect to on-premise environments
  • Planning and creation of Azure virtual machines
  • Configuration, management and monitoring of Azure virtual machines to optimize availability and reliability
  • Implementation, management, backup and monitoring of storage solutions
  • Planning and implementation of data services based on SQL Database to support applications
  • Deployment and configurtion of websites
  • Deployment, configuration, monitoring, and diagnosis of cloud services

Azure Site Recovery

Azure Site Recovery helps you to protect important applications by coordinating the replication and recovery of physical or virtual machines. You can replicate to your own datacenter, to a hosting service provider, or even to Azure to avoid the expense and complexity of building and managing your own secondary location.

Windows Azure Backup

If you have a small number of servers to protect and you currently have no backup solution, you are using the out-of-the-box Windows Server backup tool on these servers, or you’re using a third-party backup tool, then Windows Azure Backup may be a viable option for you.

The amount of data organizations are collecting and now storing is rising.  Analysts tells us that data rates are growing at over 40% per year.  And 90% of the world’s current data was created in the past 2 years.  This rapid rise means that the cost of storing this data is rising year-over-year.  The good news is the cost-per-terabyte is falling year-over-year; but unfortunately, not at the same rate as data growth.  The cost of backup is also rising, from purchasing a solution, running it, and training people to use it.  The cost and complexity of managing the storage is a factor – you have to manage all the backup media, store it, and test it in case you need it.  All of this leads to the possibility that important data may go unprotected — either entirely, or for longer periods of time than is ideal.  As we consider these challenges, let’s see how Windows Azure Backup helps address them.
